House Rules:

We understand every court plays a little different, but here are our rules:

  • All games are played by the “First team to a score of 8 wins” rule – no exceptions! You do not need to win by 2.

  • Winners have the option to stay on and separate unless the two new players want to play together.

  • Win or lose, after two games you must come out and rejoin the rotation.

  • The “On Deck” queue is decided by putting your paddle behind the last one in line on the bench.

  • Sessions end at the desigated time regardless of score. You are required to leave the gym as soon as your session ends as we have a tight schedule.

  • Be a good sport – we do not tolerate derogatory comments or foul language.

Mid-County Center Rules:

  • Payment is required prior to playing in the form of cash, check, or credit card to the office. If you are playing after hours, please bring exact change for the ambassadors. Missed payments will be send an invoice by the staff, who have the right to remove you from playing until it is paid.

  • 3 Strike Rule: If you cancel with the office (stopping by or via email to info@midcountyseniorcenter.org) within 24 hours, you will not be penalized the first two occurences in a 6 month period. At the third occurence, you will be sent an invoice for the canceled occurences, as it is a third strike. If you are able to find somebody to replace you in your timeslot, it will not be recognized as a strike.

  • Only members signed up for the current session are allowed in the gym during a session. Observers must ask permission and may be asked to leave if they cause a disruption to the players.

  • Players are required to register for their appropriate level of play. If you are unsure of your level, please see an amabassador.

  • Do not move paddles in the queue.

  • If you are playing after-hours, the ambassador is an extension of the staff – what they say, goes.

Important Guidelines

  • If you need to cancel a session, please do so online or by stopping by the office up until 24 hours before the scheduled slot.

  • If you would like to cancel within 24 hours, please email info@midcountyseniorcenter.org. Please note our 3 Strike Policy – if you cancel within 24 hours 3 or more times in a 6 month period, you will be billed for the missed sessions.

  • If a player needs to cancel within 24 hours and is able to find a replacement for their timeslot, please notify staff at info@midcountyseniorcenter.org and the cancellation will not go against their 3 Strike Policy. We just want enough players to play!

  • All “No Shows” where a player does not show up for scheduled time slot without prior cancelation will be required to pay for the time slot in order to continue playing at Mid-County Center. This is important as we want to make sure there are enough players for each session.

  • Please notify a staff member of any complaints or concerns during the current play session – we cannot do anything about a concern after the fact.

  • Please do not enter the gym before your scheduled time – we often have back-to-back activites and want to give every activity their full allotted time.
